Cultural tour (4 days)
day 1: Tbilisi
Arrival in the airport, meeting with guide, transfer to hotel Tbilisi. City tour, visits to: Grand Cathedral of Georgia “Sameba” built in connection with 1500 anniversary of Georgian autocephaly and 2000 years of Christianity in Georgia (1995-2004), Holy Church “Metekhi”, built in V century and reconstructed in XIII c., Narikala, the sole of Tbilisi (city contemporary – IV c.), “Abanotubani” (Bath precinct) – Tbilisi Center well-known by the bath complexes built on the site of sulfur springs. Constructed while various times in XVII – XIX c.c. they are very popular among the local population and foreigners as well. Sioni Cathedral – built XII-XIII c.c., Anchiskhati Church (Vic.) is one of the oldest Churches in Tbilisi, blessed in honor of nativity of Blessed Virgin. In the evening, according to guests wish visits to sulfur baths. Supper in National Restaurant. Overnight in Tbilisi.
day 2 : Tbilisi-Mtskheta-Kazbegi-Tbilisi
After breakfast departure to the ancient capital of Georgia – Mtskheta (UNESCO heritage). The city was founded in the second half of 1 millennium B.C. At first we visit the monastery Jvari, cathedral (Vic.), Svetitskhoveli (XI c.) Then we will leave for Kazbegi (by Georgian Military Road). En route we will visit architectural complex Ananuri (XVI-VXIII) c.c. with overview Jinvali reservoir. After dinner we will visit Gergeti Church of “Holy Trinity” founded in XIV c. The Church is in the mountains at height of 2170 m from the sea level. In Russian literature this Church is famous from the poem of Alexander Pushkin “The Monastery on Kasbek”. In the evening departure to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.
day 3: Tbilisi David Garedzhi-Bodbe-Signagi-Tbilisi
After breakfast in a Hotel we will leave for Kakheti (motherland of viticulture), en route – Monastery Complex David Gareji (VI c.) Here you can really touch ascetic feat of the first Christians by whose hands this monastery was erected. After dinner we will drive to Bodbe Monastery (IV-XII c.c.) where is burries St. Nino, enlightener of Georgia. Then we will drive to the toen fortress Signagi, built in Middle Ages. Here is opened the view to Caucasian mountains, Alazani Valley. We will visit wine cellar and you will have opportunity to take part in a national bread baking, cookiung Churchkhela and to taste traditional Georgian Chacha and wine. Return to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisii.
day 4: Tbilisi
Breakfast in hotel. Free time. Transfers to Airport. Departure.
